It's time for another fabulous, fun and inspirational challenge at Word Art Wednesday. Be sure to check out the Word Art Wednesday site for all of the details including this week's digital scripture, how to link your creation AND info on some fabulous prizes!

We appreciate our sponsor's generosity so very much!  Please take a few moments to thank those who provided our prizes this week!

This week I started with a white CS base created with Spellbinders' Fleur de Elegance die and added a designer paper layer using the Floral Ovals set.  I printed my sentiment on white card stock and used the Large Ovals set to frame it.  The DP is a chalkboard look paper I found in We R Memory Keepers Chalkboard set.  I love using different die shapes!  Thanks for stopping by!  I hope you have a wonderful and safe New Year!  Blessings...

This week we are visiting Philippians...
I started with a black card stock base and added a white mat.  I printed the scripture on white card stock and used a die cut circle to mask it as desired.  I then layered on distress inks to create my sky.  I started with a mustard color, added a burlap shade and finished with a tea dyed hue.  I then stamped my image (twice to cover the entire card) with the tea dye ink and followed up with some random trees in black.  I just love this scene!  I will have to try this again.
Thanks for stopping by!

~ I Am the Gate ~

Image
Thank you for stopping by.  I must extend my deepest apologies for my absence this past week.  We had a double whammy in our household last week with the loss of a family member and my own struggle with illness.  I find myself with an odd mix of emotions, both sad and happy.  I am sad that my uncle is no longer with us, however, I am happy to know he is rejoicing in Heaven.  There are worse things then death my friends.  The project I have today has been languishing on my desk.  I created and photographed it well over a week ago but just haven't had the heart and/or resolve to post.  I think the scripture is quite fitting.  I feel certain my Uncle would love it!

And the products you see today... and the background stamp... Thanks for stopping by!  Don't forget to pop in tomorrow.  I have some new sets from North Coast Creations to share!  Praying you have a wonderful week... Lori

Trust in Dreams ~ Masking Tape and Ink Technique

Image
Good Monday morning!  I have a clean and simple card to share today using masking tape.  Yes, masking tape!  I took three similar shades of blue/green ink and gently ran a bit of masking tape over the ink pad.  I then used each swath to sweep the ink on my paper.  I added the lightest cooler first, medium color second and finished up with the darkest hue.  I then stamped my sentiment on with black ink.  Super easy and pretty too.  :-) I started out with a black card stock base (5.5 x 4.25) and added a coordinating seafoam mat.  I used white CS for my color wash and sentiment.  I finished with a black die cut fence.  Here are some of the items you see... Our Daily Bread Designs' The Gate and Gilded Gate Die I can't wait to try using masking tape on some other projects!  Thanks for stopping by! Blessings....

This week, I printed my scripture on white card stock and lightly stamped the image shown in gray.  I added a very simple white and black matting along with gray snowflake paper.  I wanted the scripture and image to say it all!  Thanks for stopping by!

Until next time...
